"Fly high, try not to die"

Films: Warbirds (2008)

Alias: None

Type: Ancient

Location: Forest

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: WWII sucked for everybody. But then of course, you could say that about any war. But we think that both the Allied Forces and the Axis of Power would all like to forget that moment when a bunch of their troops got stranded on an island full of prehistoric predators.

History: As the war drew to a close, several people, many out to get each other, ended up crashing on an island not too far from Japan. However, they were not alone. For around these parts were ancient pterosaurs not in the fossil record. As it turned out, they were incredibly hostile, and came in the hundreds. Soon, the humans will have to team up in order to survive the ordeal.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Both man and pterosaur alike are taken out, particularly in dogfights, but in the end, the nest of them all is blown up so that they don't become a problem for the rest of the world.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-Syfy standard CGI is quite the handicap for these savage winged reptiles. They may come in huge packs most of the time, but it hardly changes that they were all rather easy to take out with such archaic technology. That doesn't mean you should take them on by yourself, though. Otherwise, you'll find out why they have all of those teeth.

Trivia: -These pterosaurs seem to resemble oversized Dimorphodon. Their name meaning "two-form tooth", Dimorphodon were rather small pterosaurs from the Jurassic period that were named for having two separate kinds of teeth in their jaws.

-The largest of toothed pterosaurs also happened to be the last, appearing in the Cretaceous. They included Tropeognathus, Anhanguera, and Ornithocheirus.
